Oman Blending Services (OBS) is a significant ICV project that was set up on the back of the Ministry of Oil and Gas’s initiative to have a local facility blending a range of chemicals used in oil production to maximize local content in the oil and gas sector in Oman and to replace products currently being imported into Oman.
Today
OBS is a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) company based in Samail PEIE Industrial Estate in Sultanate of Oman with very close proximity to the major ports in Oman and on the way to the Oilfields.
OBS is the major ICV Company in this field in Oman producing on behalf of Oilfield Chemical suppliers all the commonly used Oilfield Production Chemicals in Oman from Demulsifiers, Emulsifiers, H2S Scavengers, Corrosion Inhibitors and Scale Inhibitors, Biocides, Wax Inhibitors, Pour Point Depressants, Lubricants, Coolants etc….
Today OBS has evolved into a Full Chemical Management Solution company offering toll blending in addition to many value-added services for the chemical companies in Sultanate of Oman and the GCC region. OBS is the biggest Toll Blender facility in the GCC region and offering unprecedented cost savings; quality products; and world-class service to the Oilfield Chemical Suppliers. More than 1 million litres per month of Oilfield chemicals are currently produced by OBS for the Oman market in addition to exporting to the MENA region.
